Miniature Solenoid Valves

Features and Operation.

The SV-20 is a direct acting, diaphragm valve designed to handle corrosive and high purity fluids. The Fluoropolymer body construction provides outstanding chemical resistance and compatibility to a wide range of fluids.

The diaphragm design isolates fluid from the solenoid and all other operating parts. Wetted surfaces are made from either fluoropolymer or perfluoroelastomer. All valves provide tight shutoff and bubble tight sealing when used with air or liquid. No minimum pressure is required for operation or sealing.

The compact size (2.5" high x 1" diameter) and low weight (less than 5 ounces) make them extremely suitable for use in biological, medical, and chemical instrumentation equipment.

All SV-20 valves have a low internal volume of only .098 cc. Ports are flat bottom type and accept 1/4"-28 treaded low dead volume fittings. This provides a bubble tight seal which prevents excessive fluid from remaining between the fittings and the valve cavity.
Electrical Data.

SV-20 valves provide quiet instrumentation operation for both AC and DC service. All valves have continuous duty coils wrapped with polyimide tape, with 15" fluoropolymer leads per UL Class 180. AC solenoids employ rectified coils. Lower power ratings are available for specific applications.
